June 1st Our big community YARD SALE is Saturday June 1 –starts 8 AM-2PM at Grace UMC in the parking lot and the park.
July 15th-19th Vacation Bible School at Grace UMC 6 PM.

Baby Bronson Honor Stevens
Baby Bronson was born on October 3rd, 2012. He is Deaf due to sensorineural hearing loss in both ears. He is the perfect candidate for a Bilateral Cochlear Implant, which will enable him to hear just like any other little boy! His family is currently facing a vast amount of medical expenses with his upcoming surgery that his insurance will not cover. Please come out and show your support for Baby Bronson!!!
Silent Auction Items include: Cigar Daisey Artwork, Lionel Train Set, Longaberger Baskets, Various Country Décor Items and Much More!!! Dine in or Carry out on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Atlantic UMC from 4-7 pm . Capeville United Methodist Church will hold its annual patriotic cantata and picnic. This year’s program is entitled “Under God – A Patriotic Celebration of Hope” and is performed by a choir composed of singers from seven different community churches. Daphne Horner, Capeville’s music director, leads the music that praises God and honors our country and our military. Capeville lovingly provides this program and picnic supper of hamburgers, hot dogs, and homemade ice cream each year as a gift to the community. Last year about 175 people enjoyed this event. All are welcomed and invited to attend.

Onley
|
Onley United Methodist Church on 25642 E. Main Street in Onley has a new outreach program that began in November--a “Coat Closet” for people of all ages who need a coat for the winter. Onley UMC members will do necessary mending and see that the coats/sweaters/jackets will be cleaned before being given away. Their knitting group is designing scarfs and hats to be given away as well.
Coats can be dropped off at the church (open to receive 2 nd Saturday of each month from 9-11 am), the Town Office in Onley, or to arrange a pick-up, contact Jeannette Edwards at 787-1436 or email her at jrell@verizon.net. If someone needs a coat between dates, call the church office at 787-4155 or Jeannette at 787-1436. |
